2008 Annual Autism Event Thursda

Please Join Us - Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder. Getting children early, relevant treatment,
services and information is crucial in helping them reach their optimal potential. This event will offer a vast array of information including information on various opportunities such as medical, educational, and other everyday supports beneficial to individuals and families.

5:30 -6:00 - Refreshments & Displays - refreshments along with the opportunity to visit the Providers & Services in the Commonwealth Room, which will include various information on autism related disorders including local agencies and service providers.

6:00 - Welcome - Susan Colón, Founder Autism-Advocacy.org – Organizer and Founder of Event.
6:30- Bill Jones, The Jones Center at Bloomsburg University.

7:00 - Holly Faust, Home Schooling your Child with Autism.
7:30 - Kathy Baas & Jerry Stropnicky, Camp Emerge, A Great Time for All.
8:00 - Janet Rarig, CCBH, Understanding Managed Care.
8:30 - Closing Presentation— “Seasons of Love” a tribute to children with ASDs.
Parent Recognition - Distribution of donated books, autism magnets, Autism Resource Booklets©, etc.

This is an inclusive family friendly event. You are encouraged to bring your children (including siblings).
There will be an activity room for the children supervised by qualified education professionals and other
caring volunteers. We are asking that parents who need childcare register their child by contacting
Pamela Herrold at 523-1155 Ext. 2210.
