Another wonderful event this year. On this, the 5th Annual Autism Advocacy Organization Autism Event we have much to celebrate and be grateful for at this exciting time in Autism Awareness. As Holly and I planned this
years event we were amazed at how the needs of the children and
families once again were going to be blessed. |
| I knew there was a reason God brought Chuck Ardo,
Press Secretary to Governor Rendell, into my path during
the Governor's tour, but it was not until the night of the
Autism Event that it would be clear what it was. Chuck is the proud father of a son with Asperger's who was not diagnosed until he was in his twenties. Chuck shared with tears, his experience and joys of their journey. Initially parents may have thought they were going to hear just another political speech, but what Chuck gave them was a story which included hope and success as he spoke of his wonderful son and their relationship and what lives can be where their is hope and love. |
